Diablo was designed to run on PC when it first came out D2R Items in 2000. However, since the release of Diablo: Resurrected, the action-RPG iconic game will be making its way to consoles for the first time. It turns out that Blizzard had to put an enormous amount of effort into the game to make sure the experience on consoles lived up to the game's famed status without changing the core design in the game.

In a brand new blog post diving into how Diablo: Resurrected team looked at how to adapt the game for consoles the design director Robert Gallerani explained how decisions made regarding the game's console playability focused "on an entirely different player than the PC players." Since many console players have more experience playing this console edition of Diablo, Blizzard needed to make Diablo more accessible for console gamers.

One way Diablo: Resurrected on consoles does this is by taking the playbook of Diablo in regards to how it handles displaying and mapping abilities.

"In the very first Diablo game, the player had two buttons: left and right mouse clicks," Gallerini writes. "To get access to many diverse abilities, players make use of hotkeys to quickly remap these two buttons. With the help of a controller this was adjusted to not remap, however, buttons can activate the abilities. This is when you can see these abilities in a similar manner to Diablo and in a tray on the lower part of the HUD."

In terms of moving, Diablo on consoles controls significantly differently than its PC counterpart. On PC players simply click an area and the game guides the character of the player to cheap D2R Ladder Items the location. On consoles however, Blizzard would like players to have direct control over their character's movements using the thumbstick.
