No! First of all, it needs to be clear that the NEET-PG Exam is NOT the same as the National Exit Test (NEXT). As far as the NEXT Exam is concerned, it will REPLACE the NEET-PG and FMGE Exams.Apart from the above fact, to understand this difference better, it would be wise to know the pattern of how the NEXT Exam features into the whole cycle. Foreign medical graduates need to give the NEXT Paper-I to be eligible for further studies in India.
Passing this will make them eligible for an internship.
The wholly practical-based NEXT Paper-II needs to be given after the internship. Passing this will ensure a seat for PG medical course. Those who fail this exam have to repeat the process from NEXT Paper-I.

It’s only after passing NEXT Paper-II that students will be eligible for the PG course. Thus, The NEET-PG and NEXT are not the same exams; NEXT is a replacement for NEET-PG.
