Setting up a hammock tarp can be a bit tricky, but with the right tools and knowledge, it can be done easily. Here is a simple step-by-step guide to help you get started:

You will rain tarp for camping hammock, a tarpaulin sheet, hammock straps, two carabiners, four pegs, four guylines, an 18-foot cord (at least 5mm thick), and a 3-foot length of cord.

Start by making a Prusik hitch using the 3-foot length of cord to create a good base for your ridgeline. Then, tie an overhand knot on one side of the tarp cord and wrap the cord around the tree about one foot above the hammock straps. Repeat this step on the other side of the tarp cord.

Find two trees and extend your hammock straps between them, hanging them about 6 feet from the ground. The best trees should be at least 6 inches in diameter.
