Fear is a survival mechanism in the sense that it encourages self-preservation. Anxiety, on the other hand, is a warning indication of growing powerlessness.

Anxiety comes with a hefty price tag. The consequences are significant and far-reaching. These consequences can be divided into three categories: physical, psycho-emotional, and social. Let's start with the physical side effects of anxiousness. Anxiety causes a wide range of physiological problems. Psychosomatic symptoms, such as the usual upset stomach, heart palpitations, migraines, muscular cramps, and numerous bodily aches and pains, are one manifestation of worry. Anxiety that is persistent or chronic wreaks havoc on one's physical health. Long-term repercussions include organic and functional disorders ranging from dyspepsia to heart disease.

However, the good news is that anxiety medications are available. However, it is always advised to consult a doctor for taking any medicine for anxiety.
