Dark and Darker early access delayed, as dev faces lawsuit

A Dark and Darker early access delay may be announced by developer Iromace, the RPG game’s future remains uprising with the studio being sued by Nexon and Dark and Darker being removed from Steam. While the Dark and Darker Gold release date remain up via a flight, this early access delay statement will answer many of your questions.

“We truly hate being unable to communicate as freely as we usually do, however, due to the sensitive nature of our own current situation, we can’t divulge excessive information right this moment,” Dark and Darker dev Ironmace says in a new Discord post.

“I know this isn’t the announcement everyone desired to hear but we are required to let our fans be aware that the Early Access release may be delayed somewhat. Just realize that we are focusing on a ton of what to ensure the game gets out to you immediately. We ask everyone to support the line a bit longer. Thanks!”

Dark and Darker was originally likely to launch in Q4 of 2023, but it's since been dropped as Ironmace works with Nexon’s copyright claim, alongside feedback and improvements on the recent playtests. The studio also apologized for going back to playtest, citing all of the “bugs, instability, and hurdles” players encountered.
